The mission of The Village at Glencliff is to provide a dignified, loving, and hospitable medical respite/ bridge housing community for our most vulnerable friends experiencing homelessness in Nashville in an effort to meet each individual’s most basic needs so that they are empowered to focus on healing and permanent supportive housing.
Since 2010, an ever-expanding group of passionate humans have been dreaming of a place that would allow our neighbors experiencing chronic homelessness who are also most medically vulnerable to be supported and safe as they heal from their vulnerabilities while waiting for permanent housing. In offering a portion of their church land, Glencliff United Methodist Church enabled an innovative opportunity to create a healthy option for our mission to provide “bridge housing” to people who are experiencing homelessness. The Village at Glencliff, consisting of 22 micro homes, has the capacity to serve 26 individuals who would otherwise recover from their hospital stay on the street.
To compliment the mission of The Village at Glencliff, a community garden, The Haven, was established in 2021. The Haven consists of raised beds, ADA raised beds, a rain garden, a food forest, and more!
